Jacori Jacobs returns for his third season as the Freshmen Defensive Coordinator. In his first two seasons as a Freshmen coach, he coached Linebackers and Running Backs. He spent nine years coaching youth football, leading his teams to the playoffs and winning multiple championships. During college, he played at SCC and was the 1997 All ACCAC Football First Team Running Back and the Western States Football League All WSFL Football Second Team Running Back. Jacobs then signed a Division 1 scholarship to Iowa State. While attending Marcos de Niza High School, he set running back records unbroken today and was Tempe All City Sports Running Back for the 1994-1995 season. In weight lifting, Jacobs was the 1993-1994 Arizona State NASA Powerlifting Champion (185 pound weight class) and the 1994-1995 AAU Junior Olympic Powerlifting Champion. He and his wife, Jaclyn, have two sons; Josiah a freshmen at Sacramento State (Class of 2019 Sabercat) and Javen, who is entering his sophomore season as a Sabercat.
